Rookie Rocket G Luther Head is an utterly worthwhile 'Wire grab. In his last 3 games, Head's drained 43 Points, 13 Assists, 11 Rebounds, 6 Steals, and 8 3's. While Head won't hurt you with Fouls (6 over that same span) or Turnovers (8 over those 3 games), his Shooting % is poor. Head shot 'bout 30% over the course of the past 3, and is below 40% on the still-young season. Oddly enuff', Luther's 48.2% accuracy from beyond the arc is almost a full 10 percentage points better than his FG% of 39.1 Should Head continue to perform at such a high level, he'll likely replace Rafer Alston as the starter once Alston returns from injury.

How 'bout another Forward? Bull SF Andres Nocioni is playing great hoops these days. Over HIS last 3, Noch' has 46 Points, 24 'boards, 8 Assists, 3 Steals, 5 Blocks, and 6- 3 Pointers. While the young Bull has a penchant for Fouls... his Turnovers are modest. He's shooting 44% on the season, and is improving by the game. I dig Noch's upside.

Given the dearth of big men, should he remain available... and he'll likely be available only in small leagues, snatch Philly Center Samuel Dalembert up. Sammy-D has largely disappointed over his still brief career, however... the young 76'er seems to finally be finding his niche. With Chris Webber turning into a rebounding and Doub' - Doub' machine, Dalembert will serve as a defensive stalwart. He's already notched a buncha' blocks in just 2 games... and so long as you don't need points from him, he will provide you with a nice number of swats and 'Boards.

Prior pick-ups I've suggested; F/G Boris Diaw, PG Chris Paul, PFs Charlie Villanueva, David West, and Channing Frye, and G Salim Stoudamire are all thriving! Diaw is hangin' gaudy diggies' in EVERY category and will continue doing so as Leandro Barbosa is out, Paul is a near-lock for Rookie of the Year honors, Villanueva is second only to Paul as a ROY candidate, West is a top opp' at his position, Frye is improving with every game and should be a fantasy monster by the time the All-Star Break rolls around, and Stoudamire is a multi-category fantasy contributor... particularly from beyond the arc.

As Fantasy Hoopsters emerge... your always friendly, often imitated but NEVER duplicated fantasy Referee will bring 'em to you. Don't hesitate to ask a question or make a comment!
